Adam Cadwell graduated from the Interactive Arts course at Manchester Metropolitan University in 2004 and went on to work as the in-house Visualiser at advertising agency TBWA\Manchester. He has worked freelance as Cadwell Illustration since 2009.

Cadwell was one of 54 British artists in the Eisner nominated, graphic novel anthology Nelson (Blank Slate Books, 2011.)

In 2012 he co-founded Great Beast Comics with Marc Ellerby, a publishing group for professionally self-published, creator owned comics. Through this imprint he published his Northern slacker vampire series Blood Blokes (Eagle Award nominee 2012) and a book collection of his acclaimed web-comic The Everyday.

In June 2012 Cadwell launched the British Comic Awards, a national award to recognise and promote important works and talent in the thriving UK comics culture.

Apart from drawing and comics, Cadwell’s other passions are film, animation, comedy and toy collecting. For a grown man he has an astonishing amount of Lego.
