Adam Cadwell grew up in Rossendale, Lancashire. This is in the North of England where there are hills and made-up words like ‘butty’ (meaning Sandwich). He always drew pictures of the things he liked and before he knew it he had graduated from the Interactive Arts course at Manchester Metropolitan University.
Since then has been drawing all the time, mainly the now completed webcomic The Everyday and the slacker vampire comic Blood Blokes and working professionally as an Illustrator and Visualiser since early 2007. Gaining experience by working in-house at advertising agency TBWA\Manchester and then by running commercial art company DRAW, he now works freelance as Cadwell Illustration and is based in Central Manchester.
Cadwell’s comic work has been published by Jonathan Cape, Image Comics, Blank Slate Books, We Are Words + Pictures and Solipsistic Pop. His illustration work has also appeared in magazines such as Shortlist, Plus 1, Mustard, Gay Times and Disorder.
Rates
Illustration & Commissions: £40 an hour, plus any usage.
Visualising: £30 an hour/£250 a day.
Storyboards: Per frame, £10 penciled, £15 B&W, £25 colour.
Character Design: This varies greatly, please inquire for a specific quote.
