Finally got my hands on the 1st issue from TM in Mcr (signed copy no less) and I FU***N loved it. Loved it so much I read it twice and I must say it’s a long time since I’ve done that on the day of purchase.
It far exceeded my expectations and is up there with Criminal as my fave comic of the year. The art was cool as fuck and it was amazing to see how far you’ve come and developed your craft since the early days of the Everyday.
I never thought that I’d see the Odeon in a comic and I was actually excited and nostalgic when I realised it was my old favourite cinema. Wow that roster of flicks was L-A-M-E!
Further excitement was caused by cameos from the Night & Day and the Roadhouse; as well as the horror alley that every sane minded person in Manchester knows to avoid; it’s like that staple crime scene alley that they no doubt still use in Hollyoaks to this day. Again I never expected to see such landmarks in a comic book form and it reminded me of my awe of having read Kenickie name checked in Phonogram.
Cool characters, nods and a holy cliffhanger ending. Cannot wait to read the next issue. Keep up the good work.
